Everyone Belongs
At Vine & Branches, we warmly welcome all and strive to emulate Christ’s example of loving one another.
Our theme verse for the 2025-26 church & childcare year teaches us that we all have an important role to play in the Kingdom of God.
“All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” (1 Cor 12:27.)
God created us each as individuals with unique gifts and perspectives, and when we work together, we can do amazing things. In Christ’s Kingdom, everyone belongs!
Our Namesake: John 15:5
The name of our Lutheran Church & Childcare finds its roots in the Bible, specifically Jesus’ words in John 15:5: “I am the vine. You are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”
Without nutrients, a grapevine simply cannot grow nor sustain its branches, much less yield desirable fruit. Because God is our source of all good things, we need what He has to give to not only live but thrive. And just as healthy grapes require vines to deliver their needed nutrients from the soil, so we require Jesus to deliver what God has to give us for both body and soul. In Jesus, we encounter a God who deeply loves us, so much that He gave His own life for us. As we remain in Him, Jesus remains in us, continuing to grow, sustain, and yield His fruits in us, fruits which promise forgiveness from our sins, joy in a broken world, and eternal life in His Kingdom. And nothing in this world can take these away.
At Vine & Branches, you will encounter a community of faith who savors and teaches these promises not just in weekend worship and Bible studies but also in our childcare classrooms on weekdays. We’d love to meet you! Come and join us, just as you are, and discover what Jesus has in store for you!
Our History
Vine & Branches began as a group of friends eager to worship and learn about the Lord together in 2009.
With God’s guidance and our congregation’s dedication, we've grown from four families meeting together in their homes, to a new church plant meeting in Liberty Elementary School, to a chartered, fully operational church in Aldie, VA, to a thriving church with a childcare center at the heart of its mission.
Through it all we remain rooted in Christ, growing together in God’s Word, and showing Him to the world.
We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Vine & Branches in the future!
